Gregory Mundy, M.S.

Assistant Professor of Computer Science/MIS

Gregory Mundy is in his third year as an assistant professor of Computer and Management Information Sciences at Alderson-Broaddus College. A native of Jamaica, Mr. Mundy came to West Virginia several years ago to pursue a Bachelors and eventually a Masters degree in Computer Science.

Before joining the Alderson-Broaddus family, Mr. Mundy held a variety of positions in industry ranging from system administration to network cabling installation and, most recently, freelance software developer and web site administrator for a small Jamaican company, Sheltronics Limited.

Mr. Mundy's research interests include software engineering (with an emphasis on software portability), data mining, artificial intelligence and the impact of open source software on contemporary business practices. As a teacher, Mr. Mundy brings enthusiasm to the classroom and a strong desire to help students achieve their educational goals by bridging the gap between industry and academia.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Mundy is an avid fan of martial arts and fitness in general, having earned his first degree black belt in Choi Kwang Do at the age of 18. Additionally, he is a passionate writer of short stories and poetry and is well respected in his circle of friends as a Caribbean chef of the highest distinction.
